Coalitions
Haifa Women `s Coalition - Official partnership of women `s organizations, Housed together, with four organizations sharing their ideas and activities. Organizations in the Coalition: Kayan, Isha L `Isha-Haifa Feminist Center, the Haifa Rape Crisis Center and Aswat - Palestinian Gay Women. The Coalition works for women `s Equality and against gender-based violence.
The Working Group for Equality in Personal Status - A group of associations working in the field of women `s and human rights, individual volunteer lawyers, social workers, and university Professors. Addresses the problems facing Palestinian women in regard to personal status laws, and aims to guarantee Arab women `s rights in the family and society.
Women `s Budget Group - A Coalition of 15 women `s and human rights groups, working for women` s fair share of the national budget. Coordinated by the ADVA Institute for Social Research and Policy.
The Working Group on the Status of Palestinian Women Citizens of Israel - Submits Quadrennial NGO `s alternative reports to the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women. The Committee watches over the progress for women made in those countries that are the States parties to the 1979 Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) ..
The Boston-Haifa Learning Exchange - A bi-national effort to learn from and strengthen the third sector in Haifa and Boston. The project matches Haifa and Boston social change organizations for joint support, empowerment and learning exchange. Supported by the Fulbright Fellowship program, the University of Massachusetts Boston `s Center for Social Policy within the McCormack Graduate School of Policy Studies, the Boston-Haifa Social Justice / Civil Society Committee, the Boston-Haifa Connection, the Council of Volunteer Organizations (CVO) , the University of Haifa and Shatil.
